In the Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy
Allah, The Most High, says – its meaning:
He is The One Who accepts repentance from His servants and pardons [their] sins; and He knows all that you do.
Soorah ash-Shooraa (42): 25
Shaykh Abdur-Razzaaq al-Badr, may Allah protect him, said (1):
For this reason, Allah dislikes when His slave falls into a sin – then, he or she broadcasts it and publicizes it. Instead, Allah calls the servant to repent [directly] to Him, keeping the sin between the servant and Allah, recognizing that the screen of Allah has been lowered. Allah does not call us to reveal the sin to anyone.
One of the people whom Allah is most angry with are those who disobey Allah at night, and Allah conceals the servant – then, when the morning comes, they remove the concealment that Allah had given.
End of the excerpt. (2)
I ask Allah to purify my heart and to rectify my affairs, just as I ask Him to do the same for the treasured reader. I ask Him to make us from those who are remorseful, humble, and ashamed when we fall short, always yearning to repent.
Certainly, our Lord is the All-Hearing, capable of answering our supplications.
